Interview business and individual clients, understand clients’ tax concerns, and make recommendations on tax issues. Review financial records, income statement, balance sheet and other documents. Prepare corporate, fiduciary (trust and estate), gift, individual, partnership and private foundation tax returns, including preparation of work papers. Prepare tax projections for planning and advise clients on retirement, estates, employee health care benefits, payroll, and estimated payments. Research tax issues and stay current on latest tax law changes. Prepare sales tax returns and other filings to ensure clients comply with IRS regulations and meet their state and federal tax obligations. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related required. Four months experience as Finance Intern or related required. Experience must have included assisting in preparing financial statements and tax forms. Experience must have included analyzing financial performance and operation results and recommending better business practices.
